The Office of the Assistant Director-General of Coordination, Control and Teaching Personnel is responsible for several of the Ministry's departments and units. The office is responsible for the Teaching Personnel Department, which employs teaching staff in all sectors, and for instructing teaching personnel units in the Ministry’s regional offices and departments. The office also supervises a group of independent units that belong to the Ministry. These include the Department of the Israel Prize, the Department of Bequests, the Department of Colleges, the Israel Film Services and the Association for the Advancement of Education. The office bears ministerial responsibility for additional units such as: the Information Center, the Antiquities Authority, the Community Centers for Culture, Youth and Sports and Yad Vashem.
