Dear Friends in Israel,
On behalf of the 650,000 children attending private schools in the state of California, their teachers, administrators and families, please accept our deepest expression of sympathy on the loss of a courageous hero, scientist, and role model, Col. Ilan Ramon (z"l).
Please know that your friends in America share your sorrow and wish you the measure of consolation that comes with the knowledge that Israel produced such an outstanding person whose memory will continue to inspire countless numbers of people throughout the world.
The schools we represent include Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Non-Sectarian and private special education schools throughout the state of California.
We pray that the common bond of humanity that is felt at a time of tragic loss such as this will remind us that we are all members of one family.
